Limited Edition Hunter S. Thompson Beer

Flying Dog Ales of Denver, Colorado released a new, limited edition Gonzo Imperial Porter. This beer is dedicated to Hunter S. Thompson and the proceeds go towards the Gonzo Memorial Fist. This is a great way to contribute to the memory of such an amazing person and partake in an excellent, onetimeonly beer. Since there were only 2000 cases produced, you should go out and get yourself a 4-pack asap. Though it's $8 for a 4, which is definitely a little pricey, consider how much you guys pay for a crappy beer at a bar and that your money will be going to a good cause. The beer is definitely worth it: it's a nice dark porter with a strong chocolate flavor.

Like the other Flying Dogs, the Gonzo porter has crazy artwork by Ralph Steadman, who you are probably at least somewhat familiar with if you know something about Thompson. If you aren't, he's the guy who did the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas cover. Check it out:
