“In his early years, Fre4knc liked rockmusic. Dark music has always been a passion of him and later on he started to listen to the raw sounds of The Prodigy, The Crystal Method and The Chemical Brothers.
“In 1995, he got a Mix-tape of Aphrodite in his hands and because of this it has begun all. Right away he searched for other artists in this genre and he built up a nice cd-collection. The first dnbparty where Fre4knc was spotted was in 1996 and since then its love for this musicstyle only started to grow. In the year 2000, he began to mix on the computer and that went quite well.”
In 2002, Fre4knc has bought his first records, and a half year later the decks came. At the same moment, a couple of friends started to organize parties with “alternative” and “underground” music in Harderwijk (NL). Without any experience he became a resident @ this party named Underground. Meanwhile he built up a nice record collection and have been improved his mixtechniques. In 1999 he moved to Groningen for his study and after a while he started his own crew in this city, named the Break-fast Kru. In 2004 the first parties began and because of the succes the Break-fast Kru will be heard for quite a while in Groningen.
His record choice is quite sturdy, he has been addicted to heavy basslines. In spite of this addiction, he could also give the crowd a more sensitive and liquid set. Styles don’t interest him, if its beautiful and/or energetic, it ends in his recordbag….
In 2004, Fre4knc was nominated as “best breakthrough dj” at the dutch drumnbass awards.”
