'A Scanner Darkly' Reveals Near Future Police State

A new movie set to hit the big screen this summer depicts a near future America that has lost the war on drugs and capitulated into the tentacles of a pervasive control grid. A Scanner Darkly represents the latest example of a refreshing and burgeoning trend in Hollywood that seeks to enlighten the viewer into recognizing the real world prison barriers being erected around society today.

The movie is based on the book of the same name by Philip K. Dick and is filmed in interpolated rotoscoping style, whereby live action photography is overlaid with an advanced animation process. This gives the impression of a graphic novel come to life and has the same unique impression as director Richard Linklater's previous cult classic, Waking Life.

The brand new second trailer has just been posted online. Click here for Windows Media, click here for QuickTime.

The film has a raft of A-list stars, including Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Woody Harrelson and Robert Downey Jr.

Due to continued delays while the project is being perfected, anticipation of its release has been running high for over a year.

The next few years will see a rash of new releases that closely parallel reality as the New World Order seeks to put in place the final jigsaw pieces of totalitarian control, empire and tyranny.

The fact that the alternative truth and enlightenment movement resonates so well in Hollywood and that it is now seen as cool and urbane can only help our efforts to reach more people.

It also puts the final nail in the coffin of belated cultural stereotyping and media bias that attempted to portray enquiring minds as backwards toothless tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists.

That stereotype can now be thrown on the dust heap of history as a growing army of self-educated and motivated individuals seek to grasp victory from the jaws of defeat and save America from total annihilation.

Philip K. Dick was a visionary decades ahead of his time. A Scanner Darkly represents both a warning and a shining tribute to the abilities of a prominent new crop of Hollywood producers and directors.

A Scanner Darkly must be commended for its artistic flair and bold intellectual stance. We are sure that it will join the tide of change in making Americans think for themselves and devise creative new ways to reach new people and spread the truth about what is taking place in our world.
