Network Geo-location Technology

Aliases: NGT

Technical Challenge: Determining the physical geo-location for a logical network address.

Description:
NGT is a proven methodology for determining the physical location of a logical network address. For a global network like the Internet, the input might be an IP address and the reported location would be a city. (e.g. Boston, New York, etc.) The Washington DC, Baltimore-Annapolis area would all be considered within same metropolitan service area. This methodology and its results are based on the laws of physics and are independent of any pre-existing user address database profiles on the network (e.g. no IP address look-up)."
